.txt will be presented at Mostra SESC de Artes 2010.
20th November at 9 pm and 21st November at 6 pm, in SESC Vila Mariana, São Paulo, Brazil.
SESC’s action is a fruition of a solid cultural and educational project which brought, since its creation by the enterprise of commerce and services, 60 year ago, the mark of the innovation and social transformation.
Thus, SESC develops an informal and permanent education action with the purpose of increase people’s value and encourage personal autonomy, interaction and contact with different ways of thinking, expressing,
acting and feeling.

(PRIZE)
.txt won the Multimedia National Prize 2010, in the Art and Culture category.
The 5th publication of the prize was announced by the Association for the Promotion of Multimedia and Digital Society (APMP).
” The Multimedia National Prize, organized by the AMPM, has as objective to recognize the value of the multimedia national production and award a prize to the talent, the daring, the creativity and the business perspective of the professionals of this sector (…) “ APMP
Fernando Nabais went on stage representing the team and, in between the acknowledgments, underlined the relevance and international receptivity of the .txt. Proof of that, it is the mention of the creation in some international blogs, for instance in that of Bruce Sterling, one of the most important authors of scientific fiction.
In creative process since 2007, .txt was presented for the first time in 2009 at the Museu do Oriente, in Lisbon.
During the period of creation were done creative residences at Aveirense Theater, Restart and Lugar Comum.
In 2007 It was presented in a work in progress format at the opening of the Monstra Festival in Maria Matos Theater, as well as in the International Conference TeDance at Culturgest and, in 2008, in the Interpala Festival – Art and Vision, of Madrid.

.txt was invited by ARE2010 to present the interactive digital performance at ARE Art Gala in June 2, 2010. This event will happen at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California, USA.
Augmented Reality Event (ARE) is the first global event dedicated to advancing the business of augmented reality. ARE will be kicked off by a highly anticipated keynote from the “augmented reality prophet,” world-renowned author, futurist, editor and critic, Bruce Sterling. Breve nota de um espectador (quase de rajada). Reconheço a estimulação conceptual da obra: Burroughs, “mots livres” e tipografias dinâmicas, um aroma futurista (de Santa-Rita, sobretudo no fato de esgrimista do Pedro). Tudo isto é sem dúvida interessante. O Pedro move-se com competência. O software está a funcionar bem e bem está a ambiguidade sobre quem segue quem (ou o quê). Enfim, a ambiguidade entre o tangível e o intangível. Mas este ponto é também ainda o que me parece menos orgânico. Aos meus olhos instalou-se uma dúvida: o que fazia ali o corpo de carne do performer? Até que ponto não estava ele a moldar os seus movimentos às exigências dos efeitos gráficos… No passado, um dos “pecados” coreográficos era torná-lo um epifenómeno da composição musical. Não estará também aqui um pecado similar: tornar a composição do movimento como um epifenómeno da exploração dos efeitos digitais?… Sendo assim, não há expansão do corpo, mas antes uma espécie de remissão para um lugar de apagamento. Deste ponto de vista, a peça torna-se frustrante. Por outro lado, é curioso verificar que, tantas vezes, o corpo se torna expansivo justamente quando é restringido (vide por exemplo o palco coberto de terra mole no “Sacré”, na versão de Pina Bausch). O que em .TXT não creio que aconteça. Se as tecnologias podem servir para projectar o movimento, para criar novos layers, este material tem que ser tratado com pinças, pois o palco é um lugar delicado. Enfim, também por isto, .TXT é uma boa oportunidade de reflectir (criticamente) sobre o lugar das “novas tecnologias” em palco. Uma boa oportunidade para pensar o palco e o seu esvanecimento…
“Os diferentes elementos combinam adequadamente para produzir uma linguagem envolvente e o trabalho reflecte ainda questões teóricas sobre a omnipresença das tecnologias digitais e o seu poder manipulador.

Porém, não obstante a componente visual e tecnológica ser mais bem conseguida e apelativa,.txté um manifesto do corpo, como existência e energia primordial – fonte ou destino de toda a informação e emoção – que dá poesia ao som electrónico diluindo a sua natureza maquinal e que confere à lógica racional da linguagem escrita um processamento mais orgânico e criativo. Este valor resulta também da contribuição tranquila e bem humorada do bailarino Pedro Ramos.
